Web Design Principles

http://www.designoftheworld.com/     The first website I chose to look at was design of the world. This website was very nicely designed and had a lot of good features that came along with it. One thing that I really liked about this page was the layout of main first page you see. There is lots of different things that you can click on and there is lots of different pictures placed nicely on the pages which you can click on and it leads you to an article or more information about the picture etc.  http://www.designvscode.com/      The second website I picked to look through was design vs code this website diffidently wasn't as pretty as the first one, and was not as appealing to look at as design of the world ! Fair dealing and copyright in Canada

      There is eight different fair dealing purposes that does not infringe copyright, so you can use something copyrighted without getting in trouble for it depending on how you are using it and how much of it you use. Copy right is very important to protect someones work, yet there has to be ways that people can use certain works that are copy right without getting in trouble. I think that the way it is set up now is perfect, because people can use copy right novels, art work etc for educational purposes,  if they are working on a book report they can include some of the actual novel to quote it etc. Copy right is important, but if there wasn't ways that people could still use copy righted works a lot of great things wouldn't be known today. Magazine Cover Assignment

Balance/Contrast On the top of the page there is the title of the magazine " Food Daily " it is balanced in the middle and all the other text on the cover are closely underneath it.  There is contrast between the two different pictures on this cover, the first photo is the background with the bowls and spoons and then there is a picture of soup in a bowl.  The most noticeable (largest) image is off the right of the cover which is the picture with the three different bowls and the spoons. That is balanced out by the other image on the other side.  Rhythm/Repetition This cover has a very simple pattern, the background is wood like a picnic table with the wood running horizontal. There is repetition with all the bowls on the magazine cover and the separate picture of another bowl in the left top corner.  There is rhythm in how all of the words are set up on the cover, they are all placed nicely to the left side of the magazine cover.  Emphasis/Ali...
